RD, CDCES
My passion is to offer the best tools to patients living with Diabetes. I have dedicated 15 years to supporting and enhancing the pathway for a better life with Diabetes. The puzzle is not the same for each individual, no 2 patients with diabetes are the same. Key pieces to the puzzle are meal plan, exercise and medications. Diabetes effects every part of the body and therefore needs to be looked at as a whole puzzle. When the puzzle is complete the reward is control. Diabetes is not curable, but it is controllable and people with diabetes can achieve anything they want to achieve. I am here to help discover the missing pieces and complete the puzzle.
I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Community Health and Nutrition from Kansas State University. I moved to Durango in 2016 and absolutely love the area. The draw was my desire to ski more often, but the summers here are just as fantastic as the winter. I was surprised by the number of patients in the area with the diagnosis yet very little of the current technology, and medications were being utilized. Many patients with missing pieces to their puzzles.
