Joanna B. Dominick

Joanna earned both her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner Master of Science degrees from Regis University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Western State College University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
Joanna has been a board-certified family nurse practitioner for 12 years. She has experience in family medicine, walk-in convenient care, school-based health, addiction medicine, psychiatric medicine and academia. She’s passionate about mental and behavioral health in family medicine and enjoys working with adolescents. Her goal is to provide quality, comprehensive health care to the community and identify health risk factors before they become problematic.
In addition to providing care for the community, Joanna has two children ages 17 and 11. Joanna enjoys hiking, road biking, mountain biking, paddleboarding, camping, and skiing. She is originally from Florida and moved to Colorado in 1994 to enjoy the mountains and outdoor life.
I moved to Durango from the Denver area in 2014 to enjoy the outdoors even more and to enjoy and get to know people in a small community.
