Amanda Dreier

LPCC

My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that healing is possible for every individual. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, gain insight, and move toward meaningful change.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and somatic approaches, I tailor treatment to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Through CBT, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress. My person-centered approach emphasizes authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, fostering a therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. By integrating somatic techniques, I help clients increase awareness of the mind-body connection, recognizing how emotions, stress, and life experiences are experienced within the body and can influence overall well-being.

I am committed to providing culturally responsive care that honors each person’s unique identity, values, and lived experiences. I approach therapy with cultural humility and respect, recognizing the important role that culture, family, and the community influences play in shaping mental health and personal growth.

Whether clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or a desire for greater self-understanding, my goal is to foster hope, resilience, and self-compassion. Together, we work to build practical skills, deepen self-awareness, and create lasting change that supports a more balanced and fulfilling life. I believe that healing occurs not only through insight and skill-building but also through connection. As part of my therapeutic environment, clients may be greeted by my service dog, Doc. His calm and comforting presence can help create a welcoming atmosphere and serves as a gentle reminder of the value of safety, companionship, and unconditional acceptance in the healing process.

Beyond the therapy room, I have a deep appreciation for music and dance and the ways they connect us to ourselves, our emotions, and our communities. I grew up in a dance and music studio in rural Pennsylvania studying dance, singing, and playing various instruments. I still love performing on stage to this day through community theatre. This appreciation informs my understanding of the mind-body connection and the importance of creativity, expression, and joy as part of the healing process. I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors and taking care of our small farm.
